Celebrating all that Orpheus has come to learn makes for success over the last decade, 2023 saw the launch of the Orpheus Sinfonia Foundation Programme. Supported by Skyrme Hart Charitable Foundation, this Foundation Programme gives real-time opportunity to recently graduated instrumentalists, conductors, composers and opera singers across a year through performances and advancement sessions mentored by Orpheus Principals, continuing our ethos of investing in music’s future.

Running a range of ambitious projects, the Foundation Programme gives opportunities to 36 instrumentalists, soloists, conductor, singers and composer annually. As well as paid work preparing for and performing four orchestral concerts in London, participants will be supported by wraparound sessions each season, with mentoring from core Orpheus members and eminent industry professionals. The Foundation Programme will establish a lasting space in which emerging professionals can explore and develop future livelihoods. It creates a juncture to realise creative entrepreneurship and learn how to work.

Orpheus Sinfonia is committed to being an Equal Opportunities organisation. We work hard to ensure that we provide a welcoming and accessible environment for all.

We actively encourage applications from all backgrounds and are particularly interested in hearing from performers that are of ethnically diverse, gender and sexual orientations, and socioeconomic backgrounds which are currently under-represented in our sector.
