Join the Board: We are recruiting Trustees
Orpheus Sinfonia is seeking dedicated, forward-thinking individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help steer the strategic direction of the charity during an exciting period of growth.
Following a transformative period of rebranding and artistic vision strategy, we are seeking trustees from all areas of business relevant to an operational company and charity. In particular at this time, we are looking for individuals with professional skill sets in marketing, HR, fundraising, legal, music industry, music education, and digital development.

Founded in 2009, Orpheus Sinfonia is a vibrant and ambitious charitable organisation dedicated to shaping the future of music. Our core mission is for audiences to “experience music differently” through world-class performance, innovative programming, and meaningful opportunities for emerging musicians, thus creating futures in and for music.
Through our professional orchestral work, Foundation programme, flagship Soundscapes series, and education and community initiatives, we create inspiring musical experiences while developing the next generation of instrumentalists, singers, conductors, and composers.
As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in supporting this mission, ensuring the charity’s financial health, legal compliance, and long-term sustainability, while acting as a crucial ambassador for our growth.
Role Summary & Details
- Job Title: Trustee
- Location: London / Hybrid (Meetings held in person or online)
- Commitment: 4 Board meetings per annum, plus preparation time and occasional committee or advisory support.
- Remuneration: This is a voluntary role; reasonable travel expenses to meetings can be reimbursed.
Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and senior leadership, the Board provides critical governance, financial oversight, and strategic advocacy for the charity.

Player opportunities
Orpheus operates on a freelance basis, with each project being booked individually according to availability and the requirements of the project.

We hold auditions on an annual basis. Information about auditions and dates will be announced here, when it is next possible to confirm some.
