Welcoming our latest cohort of appointed Foundation Instrumentalists to Orpheus.

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Alvin Arumugam as our Foundation Scheme conductor for the 2025-26 season!

The General Manager of Orpheus Sinfonia is a new, pivotal role, responsible for overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations, and contributing to the strategic implementation and delivery of the organisation’s programme of work at a time of key expansion.

Now in its third year, the Orpheus Sinfonia Foundation Programme is rapidly establishing itself as a centre of excellence for emerging professionals, working side by side with our Principals and guest mentors from across the industry.

Orpheus were delighted to return to West Green House Opera in 2025 for a production of Bellini Montecchi e Capuletti under the baton of John Andrews and with Lysanne van Overbeek directing.
